Shift4 Payments, an independent provider of integrated payment processing and technology solutions, has launched a contactless QR code ordering solution for restaurants.
Restaurants using this solution can display a customer QR code on table tends, placemats, for customers to scan and view the menu and place their order.
They can do this through their mobile phone, and the order goes directly to the outlet’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
The technology is integrated with many POS systems and does not charge any fees to Shift4 clients.
In June this year, Shift4 rolled out its contactless payment technology called QR Pay, which allows customers to pay using their phones, offering a contactless experience.
The latest offering complements the functionality of the QR Pay solution, delivering a contactless dining experience to customers.
