US-based technology company SmartMetric has selected Protec Secure Card (PSC) as the national distributor for its fingerprint activated biometric credit and security card.
SmartMetric’s biometric card incorporates a miniature biometric fingerprint scanner that fits inside credit and security cards.

“The intellectual property of the SmartMetric biometric card is protected by five (5) recently “issued” patents,” SmartMetric said.
The firm added the biometric fingerprint scanner to a standard credit and debit card in April 2015 in an effort to prevent payment card fraud.
In February 2016, the firm launched a new NFC contactless and EMV contact biometric credit card.
