Japanese electronics major Sony in collaboration with Capital One has rolled out a new PlayStation credit card in the US.

Based on Visa-platform, the new Sony PlayStation Credit Card offers a generous reward points system for PlayStation and Sony product purchases.

The private label card can be customised with a number of game-inspired designs. It also offers PlayStation Store credit worth $50, which will be provided once the cardholder completes first purchase.

Sony and Capital One are also offering 50% back on the cost of a PlayStation Plus 12-month membership if the user spends $3,000 within a year.

Additionally, the cardholders can avail 10% back on PlayStation Vue, PlayStation Music, and PlayStation Now purchases.

Kristin Ferrito, brands activations manager at PlayStation US, said: “Working with our colleagues over at Sony Rewards and Capital One, we are excited to present a new PlayStation Credit Card with rewards designed specifically with gamers like you in mind.”

The rewards points earned can be redeemed with 100 points equalling $1. The reward points can then be spent on a complete range of Sony products such as games, Sony electronics, music, movies, subscriptions and downloadable content.
