Sunmi, a commercial hardware manufacturer, has upgraded its handheld financial POS with biometric payment option.
The Sunmi P2 handheld financial POS now supports fingerprint payment to expedite transactions across retail facilities.
The device also supports omnichannel payments made through magnetic stripe card, IC card, NFC or QR code.
The company has also upgraded P2 with a thinner full screen HD+ display within an ultra-thin chassis.
Sunmi IoT products vice-president Eric Zhou said: “QR code payments are becoming more and more popular in Asia, but internationally card payments remain the norm, to make the Sunmi P2 as flexible as possible, we have included all payment forms including fingerprint.”
The upgrade was driven by a survey which identified print speed and cost as most valued features in POS devices.
