The Nordic IT services company Tieto has signed a trilateral agreement with MeaWallet, the Norwegian mobile solutions provider, and Chip Card, the Serbian processing center, to provide mobile payments solutions for Chip Card customers in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
The partnership will enable Chip Card to integrate Tieto Card Suite and MeaWallet technical platform to offer its customers new-generation services such as mobile wallet and mobile payments via NFC.

The new service, which is due for introduction early next year, will provide existing and new customers with a mobile wallet experience consisting of NFC and cloud based payments, tokenization and Host Card Emulation.
MeaWallet CEO Lars Sandtorv said: "The partnership with Tieto and Chip Card will bring mobile payments and mobile value added services to the next level. Based on our joint efforts in technology, marketing and sales, we look forward to supporting the coming mobile payments in the region."
