Swedish fintech Trustly has teamed up with Open Payments Platform Spreedly to offer merchants “full-service access” to Pay by Bank, enhancing payment efficiency across both regional and global markets.

By leveraging Spreedly’s payment gateways, merchants can seamlessly integrate Trustly’s platform “without interruption” to their existing payment infrastructure.
Trustly will lead the Pay by Bank component of Spreedly’s Open Payments platform, which is claimed to be designed to address the increasing demand for Pay by Bank solutions in the US and harness the power of data and insights across the entire payment ecosystem.
The integration of Pay by Bank and account authentication capabilities supports scalable merchant growth while ensuring compliant payment processing.
Trustly’s bank connectors and risk engine, alongside Spreedly’s transaction routing, aims to reduce operational risk and improve authorisation.

In December 2024, Trustly partnered with software provider for wellness brands in the Nordics, BRP Systems.
The partnership combines Trustly’s payment solutions with BRP Systems’ platform, allowing businesses to optimise their recurring payment systems.
