Payments solutions provider TSYS has inked an agreement to support consumer finance company CreditShop’s new credit card programme Mercury Mastercard.
Under the long-term agreement, TSYS will primarily offer processing services for the new card.
TSYS will also offer card production, fraud and risk management, as well as customer service support. Terms of the agreement were not revealed.
CreditShop CEO Dan Duncan said: “We chose TSYS as our payment services partner after thoughtfully considering all options. Their world class processing platform and ability to support product innovations are key things that we intend to leverage as we grow our business.”
CreditShop develops and services credit cards and personal loans to cater to near-prime and sub-prime consumers. The company services Mastercard and Visa cards in the US.
TSYS executive vice-president and chief customer officer of Issuer Solutions Allen Pettis said: “With our experience in the credit card industry, and our reputation of outstanding customer service, we know that we can help CreditShop achieve their goal of providing better card products to underserved consumers.”
