
UK-based online cash payments provider Ukash, has partnered with independent ATM operator, Bank Machine to allow customers to convert online funds into cash at over 2,500 ATMs.
Without using a debit or credit card, customers will be able to redeem Ukash vouchers for cash at Bank Machine ATMs.
David Hunter, Ukash CEO said: "We identified that greater flexibility in converting Ukash back into cash was an important customer service advantage. As a result we have made significant investment in the development of Ukash Cash Withdrawals. We believe it’s a pioneering step for consumers and e-tailers alike."
Hunter also said that this partnership will make Bank Machine the first non-bank operator to offer cardless cash withdrawals at ATMs.
Stephen Hart, business development manager, Bank Machine, said: "This innovation clearly demonstrates that ATMs can provide services that complement those offered on the internet."
Ukash vouchers can be purchased at retailers in 57 countries and used to purchase online without revealing personal financial information.
