MasterCard-owned DataCash has partnered with mobile shopping software firm Shopgate to provide merchants with mobile payments technology.
The new partners say their relationship will allow Shopgate’s merchant clients to process transactions quickly and safely via their mobile platforms using UK-based DataCash’s payments technology and fraud-busting software Gatekeeper 2.0.
Simone Leevey, head of partner channel at DataCash said: "Mobile commerce is quite different from traditional eCommerce, as mobile phones impose very different constraints than desktop computers.
"It is important for us to work with only the finest specialists in this field and ensure that retailers can easily maximise their revenue through the ever growing mCommerce market."
Shopgate provides services for over 5,000 online merchants and already has 1,200 shopping apps.
Filipe da Silva Araujo, vice president of business development at Shopgate commented: "Our team of experts – based in multiple locations globally – dedicates its hearts and minds to ensuring that we offer the best mobile shopping experience in the world.
"The collaboration will further enhance our offering in the UK market and we look forward to working with DataCash on all future projects."
