The solution is designed for consumers who do not want to share their financial details over the internet for security reasons.

It is also suitable for those who do not have a bank account or a credit card.

The Paysafecash payment method is now available in 28 countries worldwide.

It adds to the group’s prepaid e-cash solution named ‘paysafecard’ – which is already available in Mexico since the past 10 years.

Paysafecash CEO of paysafecard team Udo Müller said: “I am thrilled that, 10 years on, we are now offering Mexican consumers an additional alternative payment method which enables anyone to participate in the world of e-commerce.”

Customers can use Paysafecash by selecting the option during checkout, which will generate a barcode.

They can save this barcode in their smartphone or print it.

Next, customers need to visit the nearest Paysafecash payment point, which can be found using the search function.

They can scan the barcode at the payment point and pay the order amount in cash.

The e-commerce website then processes the order and ships it to the customer’s location.

The Group is initially deploying 3,000 payment points at retail outlets in Mexico, with an aim to deploy over 8,000 by the end of this year.
