UnionPay International, in collaboration with ABC Banking, has issued its first UnionPay diamond debit card in Mauritius.
Touted to be the first UnionPay premium card in Africa, the new debit card further boosts the UnionPay card product portfolio in the region while offering users a more secure, convenient and preferential payment option.

UnionPay said that all the POS terminals and 90% of ATMs accept UnionPay cards in Mauritius.
Further, UnionPay and ABC Banking have agreed to issue UnionPay classic debit cards and diamond debit cards in the next three years.
All these cards are international payment cards which can be used in the UnionPay acceptance network across 160 countries and regions.
The diamond cardholders can avail a number of value-added services such as access to VIP Lounges at more than 800 airports across the globe, pickup service in major destinations, international medical assistance and travel assistance, VIP healthcare assistance in mainland China and hotel referral, among other services.
