UnionPay International has teamed up with Laos-based commercial bank BCEL and Lao Airlines to issue the aviation co-branded UnionPay credit cards.

The credit cards issued based on the partnership cover classic cards, gold cards and platinum cards.
The cards can be used in the UnionPay acceptance network covering over 150 countries and regions worldwide, with their payment functions similar to that of common UnionPay cards.
They will also incorporate several value-added services including accumulation of air mileage, credit card mileage conversion, aviation accident insurance and VIP services at airports.
BCEL, the first bank to issue UnionPay cards in Laos in 2011, has enabled all its ATMs and merchants to accept UnionPay cards.
