UnionPay has upgraded its Mobile QuickPass service to further enhance the contactless payment, QR code payment and in-app payment facilities offered by the firm.
The aim is to largely enhance mobile payment experience for UnionPay cardholders.

The users will be able to make offline payments by double-clicking the side button to pay by QuickPass or QR code on demand, without requiring to download or open any Apps.
The upgraded UnionPay Mobile QuickPass service covers multiple payment solutions and supports a suite of value-added services and premium promotions, the company said.
UnionPay’s global acceptance network currently covers 180 countries and regions. Over half of these countries are said to accept UnionPay QR code or mobile QuickPass payment.
The firm is striving to expand the global rollout of products to meet the change of consumer payment behaviour.
The company currently offers more than 90 solutions in 20 countries and regions. These include UnionPay App, QuickPass, QR code wallets.
Last year, UnionPay launched mobile-wallet in Pakistan, offering both contactless and QR code payment service.
UnionPay said that the new upgrade for its products will further expand payment options for cardholders and enable the firm to explore new cooperation models with industry partners and serve the needs of overseas markets.
In January this year, UnionPay forged a partnership with Vietnam’s Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank to roll out virtual cards in the country.
Last December, the company partnered with Turkey’s duty free shop operating chain ATU Duty Free to introduce UnionPay QR code payment service at Turkish airports.
