Municipalities in the US state
of Massachusetts are replacing their paper tax bills with
e-bills, the first paperless billing initiative to be launched in
Massachusetts.
E-invoicing company Invoice Cloud and billing
solutions provider Mark Altman & Associates have developed the
programme for municipalities and utilities across the state.
As part of the Massachusetts Municipal Relief
Act passed in July 2010, municipalities can now establish voluntary
e-billing programmes for real estate and personal property
bills.
The Invoice Cloud/MA&A programme is
designed to integrate accounting software, online bill payment, and
the print and mail fulfilment processes
“The e-bill train has left the station and a
rapidly growing group of forward thinking municipal and utility
clients have already jumped aboard,” said Invoice Cloud CEO Bob
Bennett.
