Vantiv, a provider of payment processing services, has decided to combine its subsidiaries – Mercury Payment Systems and Element Payment – into one company under Vantiv Integrated Payments brand.

Mercury Payment Systems, which provides payments technology and services for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and Element Payment Services, a provider of PCI compliant payment processing solutions, have been Vantiv subsidiaries for nearly two years.

Vantiv group president of integrated payments and emerging channels Matt Taylor said: "The Vantiv brand represents a strong set of value propositions with which our partners can win business, including Vantiv’s experience as the leader in processing everyday spend and award-winning technology in security, reporting and eCommerce.

"During this rebranding phase, we are also rolling out new capabilities and features that will help our partners and merchants be more successful in the marketplace. Furthermore, we will also leverage the power, scale and reliability of Vantiv’s omni-channel processing engine with this transition."

Vantiv said that following the rebranding partners and merchants will have additional benefits including faster funding, better merchant reporting, access to American Express OptBlue, deeper connections to the card brands, and the enhanced Vantiv Advantage Partner Program.

Vantiv chief marketing officer Larry Drury said: "Vantiv’s mission is to make payments smarter, faster and easier, and our brand is designed to communicate that. Transitioning Mercury and Element to the Vantiv brand allows us to bring our scale and breadth of technologies under one brand."
