US based connected commerce platform Verifone has integrated its ecosystem with commerce technology firm FreedomPay.

The move enables businesses utilising FreedomPay’s global payment orchestration platform to drive operational efficiency with Verifone’s payment devices.

This collaboration will deliver an upgraded commerce stack for sellers.

The partnership brings together Verifone’s portfolio of payment hardware with FreedomPay’s Next Level Commerce platform.

Merchants now have access to devices such as mobile, multilane, unattended, portables, and SoftPOS, allowing them to deploy terminals that fit various use cases.

The fully integrated solution streamlines management by unifying Verifone’s payments engine and defence systems with FreedomPay’s security features.

Verifone CEO Himanshu Patel said: “Our partnership with FreedomPay couples our industry-leading payment devices with their widely used, powerful commerce platform.

Together, we are enhancing the payment experience for consumers by enabling merchants to deploy secure, innovative solutions that maximise their investment’s long-term value.”

Solution providers can enhance their Point-of-Sale environments through the combined offering, which facilitates the integration of acquirer- and OS-specific payment solutions.

Verifone’s devices are set to be fully certified on FreedomPay’s network soon and will be available in an acquirer-agnostic format.

FreedomPay founder & CEO Tom Durovsik stated: “FreedomPay is dedicated to delivering an exceptional commerce experience by offering unparalleled speed, security, and personalisation. Integrating Verifone’s full line of powerful payment devices allows us to provide our merchants with greater flexibility and the latest in payment technology, ensuring they can offer the best possible service to their customers.”

This follows the collaboration with Logos Payment Solutions to improve unattended transactions in May 2024.

The initiative integrated Verifone’s latest-generation Android terminal, the UX700, with Logos’ automation and management software platform.
