Point-Of-Sale company Verifone has released SAIL EMV, a new platform that enables mobile merchants to accept payments through a chip-and-PIN solution for smartphone and tablet.
SAIL EMV solution includes a payment adaptor that attaches to the device, mobile software development kits for integrating the payment method with iOS and Android mobile platforms, as well as a secure transaction management system that uses VeriFones Point Gateway payment-as-a-service global infrastructure.

The product is available in more 100 countries across six continents and will allow mobile merchants to expand their product portfolios with custom branded services.
The project sees VeriFone extend their range of chip-and-PIN enabled Smartphone and tablet solutions, which include PAYware Mobile Enterprise hardware and VeriFone GlobalBay mobile software products which are already deployed to larger retailers globally.
