Vietnamese retail bank Lien Viet Post Joint Stock Commercial Bank (LienVietPostBank) and JCB International have unveiled a new debit card.

The new offering, dubbed LPB JCB Platinum Debit Card, is aimed to meet the requirements of the bank’s affluent customer group.

The card will provide the holders with access to global JCB acceptance network as well as a range of benefits including free access to airport lounges in Vietnam and worldwide.

Additionally, the cardholders will have free access to JCB Plaza and JCB Plaza Lounge as well as get special discounts at more than 100 high-end restaurants and 28 luxury golf courses across Vietnam.

On retail transactions, the LPB JCB Platinum Debit Card will offer 1% cash back.

Customers can manage the card transactions through the LienViet24h digital banking app. They can also use the app to change PIN or card lock status.

The launch of the new debit card is expected to support the growth of cashless transactions in Vietnam.

With nearly 400 owned branches/transaction offices, LienVietPostBank is one of the largest commercial banks in Vietnam in terms of network.

The bank also uses more than 1,000 postal transaction offices and around 10,000 nationwide post offices to provide its services.

Recently, another Vietnamese lender Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TPBank) announced the issuance of a new credit card powered by JCB.
