Viewpost, the secure B2B network for electronic invoicing, payments and cash management firm, has teamed up with Comdata, a commercial credit card issuer for MasterCard in North America, to allow businesses to pay suppliers using virtual credit card.
A virtual card – or ePayable – is a 16-digit virtual credit card that can be used only once for securely and quickly make supplier payments. The new card offers improved cash management, control and security to both the payer and payee, according to Viewpost.
With instant access to virtual credit card payments (ePayables) on the Viewpost network, businesses will now have access to cheque, electronic funds transfer and virtual credit card payments at the touch of a button.
Viewpost executive vice president and director of payment operations Pat McMonagle said: “We’re excited to partner with an industry leader in B2B credit card transactions to bring this capability to our enterprise customers on the Viewpost network.
“Comdata’s technology is a natural fit for making virtual credit card payments available to customers seeking to further improve operational efficiency and cost savings.”
