VTB Bank has partnered with VISA international to launch a new contactless payment app called, Mobile pay, in Georgia.
The hi-tech mobile application will allow consumers to make purchases by waving mobile phone near the POS terminal, eliminating the need of a wallet, banking card or a sticker to buy an item or a service.
Using Mobile pay, consumers can make contactless payments using any VTB Bank (Georgia) card.
VTB Bank (Georgia) said that the application, which enables uploading unlimited number of cards, can be used anywhere across the world, where Visa payWave (contactless) terminals are available.
The app comprises three safety levels, excluding possibility of fraudulent payments and also works without active internet connection.
Mobile pay will be available at Google Play Store and requires a Smartphone with Android OS (4.4 or later version) with NFC support.
