Wells Fargo has partnered with American Express to launch the upgraded rewards-based Propel credit card featuring zero annual fees.
Cardholders will be able to earn triple reward points for payments while eating-out or ordering from restaurants, on travel and transit, and select streaming services. The earned rewards will not have an expiration date.
The card can be used all merchants accepting American Express, which will also provide Propel cardholders access to multiple benefits such as presale tickets for concerts and sporting events, daily discounts on travel, restaurants and retailers.
Wells Fargo head of cards and retail Services Bev Anderson said: “We are listening to consumers to better understand and serve their needs holistically, and have heard directly from them on what they want most in a credit card. Based on that feedback, we are excited to offer one of the richest rewards credit cards in the industry, for no annual fee.
“Wells Fargo is re-committed to fulfilling our customers’ needs by providing strong, experiential value through the new Propel Card, our best rewards card, for consumers who live their lives to the fullest and desire a credit card that rewards them for it.”
American Express senior vice-president of Global Network Partnerships for North America, William Stredwick added: “We are delighted the newly enhanced Propel Card brings together the premium benefits provided by American Express, including pre-sale tickets, offers, and protections, with this new and outstanding rewards proposition offered by Wells Fargo.”
