Coopenae, a savings and credit cooperative in Costa Rica, has teamed up with Western Union Business Solutions to enable its clients send money worldwide.
Using Western Union, Coopenae clients can make remittances to more than 200 countries in over 130 currencies.

The agreement with Western Union will streamline payment processes of the cooperative’s clients and enhance their risk management capacity.
Western Union Business Solutions vice president for the Latin America and Caribbean region Alfred Nader said: “Costa Rica is known globally for being a great innovator in various industries today.
“Coopenae is not only the largest credit union to bring best-in-class cross-border payment solutions to Costa Rica, but it is the first in all of Latin America to work with Western Union to bring such solutions to its members.

Coopenae caters to 115 thousand associates across 24 branches in Costa Rica.
