Western Union and its official representative
in Lebanon Online Money Transfer SAL (OMT) have extended their
business contract offer Western Union’s Business Solutions (WUBS)
payments services across the country.
The five-year deal makes Lebanon the second
country in the Middle East to offer Western Union’s international
payments service. WUBS provides international payment services,
foreign exchange solutions, corporate account management and risk
management consultation.

“This agreement with OMT not only expands the
Western Union Business Solutions platform in this region but will
also help businesses in Lebanon to overcome any previous challenges
they faced with their cross-border payment needs,” said Jean Claude
Farah, Western Union’s senior vice president for the Middle East
and Africa.
WUBS is also helping underserved
small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to gain a competitive
edge through the strong global network and business relationships.
As 99% of all businesses in Lebanon are SMEs the country’s business
sector is expected to grow.
