The Western Union Company is expanding its offerings for Canadian customers with the launch of online account-funded money transfers.
The service has been launched via a partnership with Canadian payments technology firm Paramount Commerce.
Consumers can use Canadian bank accounts to fund international and domestic money transfers through WU.com and the Western Union App.
They can send money directly into bank accounts in more than 100 countries and territories across the world. Money transfer can also be made in local currency at several Western Union Agent locations globally.
The new service extends on Western Union’s omnichannel offerings for consumers in Canada, offering convenience in money movement.
Western Union head of Americas Network Molly Shea said: “As global digital money transfers continue to grow, consumers are increasingly expecting alternative payment methods to credit cards, including being able to fund transfers directly from their bank accounts.
