Japanese Language Program (JLP) students to pay tuition fees and expenses with WU GlobalPay for Students will have support from Western Union payments.
Japan’s Hosei University has partnered with Western Union to enable a seamless tuition fee process. Furthermore, it will ensure timely transfer of funds without hidden charges.

Western Union Business Solutions country manager for Japan Haruhiko Ohashi said: “We are proud to partner with Hosei University and bring them on to the GlobalPay for Students platform.
“GlobalPay provides students with simple payment options, all in one platform.”
GlobalPay for Students enables students to pay tuition fees as well as other associated institutional charges in their home currency, globally.
The system allows them to review options with a price comparison tool as well as lock exchange rates in advance.

Currently, the GlobalPay for Students is offered through nearly 650 education institutions.
Hosei University manager of JLP Yuichiro Ehara said: “Since establishment of JLP in April 2017, we would see just a few cases of full tuition payment from pre-university students sending from overseas.
“Since we introduced GlobalPay for Students for the fall semester of 2018, those who failed to make a payment have drastically declined.”
