Wirecard, a Germany-based payment technology company, has enabled all Apple Pay users to use their boon digital credit card to shop online.
Now, users can enjoy the same payment flexibility at any in e-commerce site as they get at the point of sale (PoS) in a physical store, the company said.
Boon mobile payment app works completely independently of other banks and network operators. At present, the app is on Apple Pay in England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Ireland. Additionally, it is also available via Android in Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland and Spain.
Wirecard executive vice president for consumer solutions Georg von Waldenfels said: “Mobile payment is already a matter of course for many Europeans.
“At Wirecard, we believe that digital payments will rapidly replace cash, so we are adapting our mobile payment solution boon with this new omnichannel solution to best meet the needs of our users by continuing to expand our products with new features.”
Android users in Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland and Spain can also enjoy boon mobile payment app to shop online.
