S Sport Plus, the first sports streaming platform in Turkey, has tapped Wirecard for payment processing.
Under the agreement, Wirecard will be responsible for processing all payments on the sports streaming platform.

This covers new customer sign ups as well as recurring subscription payments.
Wirecard general manager Turkey Burhan Eliacik said: “Streaming customers want to get straight to their favorite content, and that means having no interruptions or lags in the payment process.
“We are happy to offer S Sport Plus our payment know-how and technology. In addition, we are looking forward to expanding our cooperation with future payment projects including developing loyalty solutions.”
Turkey-based Saran Group is the owner of S Sport Plus.
The sports streaming platform provides over 300 hours of monthly streaming and on-demand content.
One can use the platform for watching live sports content such as Premier League, Bundesliga, NBA, UFC, and Formula 1.
S Sport Plus project manager Ozgur Oguz said: “In Wirecard we found a partner with local expertise but also worldwide experience in payments, an ideal combination for our ever-growing platform.”
In September last year, Wirecard collaborated with Turkish online travel agency Enuygun.
The partnership enables Wirecard to process incoming credit card payments on Enuygun for global and local schemes such as Mastercard, Visa, and Troy.
