Wirecard has joined forces with Vouchr to improve the customer experience of its mobile payment app boon.

The partnership will enable boon to personalise cash gifts with media-rich messages and experiences.

Vouch will allow boon users to bundle their gift with audio, videos, games, selfies, chat as well as other media to offer customised experiences during money transfer.

This, in turn, is said to boost customer engagement and loyalty.

Vouchr general manager for Europe Aaron Whitehead said: “Our ambition is to make P2P payments more meaningful than just their currency value for boon.

“Customers expect more today than ever before and, as this market matures, the value of applying personalised engagement to everyday brand transactions will serve to drive customer loyalty.”

In this context, Wirecard cited a report by Advance Market Analytics that expects the global P2P payments market to grow 9.76% CAGR, to a value of $3.2bn by 2024.

At present, the boon app is available in France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK.
