Swiss cybersecurity firm WISeKey International and RIDDLE&CODE, a blockchain interface company, have joined forces to develop solutions to secure Internet of Things (IoT) through blockchain technology and crypto-hardware.
Under the partnership, WISeKey will integrate its global root and public key infrastructures into RIDDLE&CODE’s hard- and software stack.
The hardware interface is based on bundling microcontrollers to crypto-accelerators, while the software interface connects this combination to the web, mobile phones, reader systems and radio frequency systems.
WISeKey’s Vault IC 15x series of crypto chips works when they come into contact with NFC-enabled mobile phones, making it convenient to embed them into any kind of physical object.
The smart tags also solve critical issues of machine identity related to IoT, sensor and actuator networks, smart city and smart plans.
RIDDLE&CODE founder and chief technology officer Tom Fürstner said: “A combined solution of WISeKey’s cybersecurity platform and RIDDLE&CODE’s hard- and software stack offers highly manageable solutions using these technologies.
