Atos subsidiary and e-payments company Worldline has partnered with ecommerce firm customweb to connect Sips, Worldline’s e-payment service, with open-source ecommerce software.
The new partners said Worldline will use customweb’s expertise in payment plugins to give merchants the ability to install the Sips payment gateway on their own ecommerce websites.
Wordline provides payment and transaction services globally. Its operations include commercial acquiring, payment acceptance, managing the lifecycle of private label and loyalty cards, electronic commerce and mobile commerce.
The Atos company also creates and distributes payment terminals and the accompanying software and last year generated revenues of 1.1bn ($1.5bn) for the Atos Group.
Ecommerce specialist customweb focuses on the development of payment plug-ins for open-source ecommerce software.
Software customweb has worked with before includes Magento, PrestaShop and WooCommerce. The company also deploys its payment platform, sellxed, to integrate credit cards, debit cards and other payment methods with shopping carts on merchant websites.
