WorldRemit, a UK-based global digital money transfer service firm, has launched instant money transfers to Hungary.
The newly launched service enables migrants in over 50 countries to send remittances directly to bank accounts in Hungary through WorldRemit app or website.
It allows the users to send money directly from mobile devices with just few taps eliminating the need to visit an agent.
Approximately 600,000 Hungarian citizens are living abroad, with top migration destinations including Germany, the UK, Austria and Switzerland.
WorldRemit founder and CEO Ismail Ahmed said: “Hungary’s diaspora has a growing need to access quick, secure and convenient money transfers. WorldRemit’s service answers that need.
“Now a Hungarian waiter, language interpreter or IT professional in London can transfer money back home as easily as sending an instant message.”
According to World Bank, Hungary received $4.5bn in 2015, making the nation one of the top remittance receiving destinations in Europe.
