WorldRemit, a UK-based online money transfer service, has launched instant transfer services to Nigeria.
The service will enable people in more than 50 countries to transfer money from the WorldRemit app to 140 branches of Skye Bank.
Currently, WorldRemit clients send over 400,000 transactions every month.
According to the World Bank Nigerians living abroad sent home $20.8bn in 2015, by far the largest volume of remittances to any country in Africa and the sixth largest globally.
WorldRemit CEO & founder Ismail Ahmed said: "At WorldRemit, we offer people a choice of the most convenient ways to send and receive money. Today, Nigerians can use our app or website to send money to a bank account or cash pickup location, instantly."
