Washington State Employees Credit Union (WSECU) has introduced a suite of three Visa credit cards based on its member feedback.

The newly launched Create, Low Rate, and Cash Back Signature Visa credit cards complement the Visa Platinum.

The 2017 WSECU member needs survey examined credit card concepts, features, behaviour and preferences. The survey revealed found that customers preferred low rates, cash back and low fees.

WSECU vice-president of product design Andrew Becker said: “The survey gave us insights into potential cardholders’ habits, likes and dislikes, and it made clear that different consumers are looking for different value out of a credit card.

“Members now have more options, whether they are interested in perks and features or prefer the straight-ahead value of a low rate.”

For students, young adults and new borrowers, the WSECU Create Visa card will help build credit with payment and debt management.

The interest rate for the card reduces by 0.25%, up to 2%, for every six months of on-time payments. It offers lower spending limit range to ensure manageable debt levels.

The WSECU Low Rate Visa card targets customers paying more than the minimum payment, but less than the total amount. It is ideal for people who carry balance for large purchases, debt consolidation or emergencies.

Also, customers interested in cash rewards can use the WSECU Cash Back Visa Signature card for everyday spend.

This card comes with to 1.5% cash back and zero annual fees. The earned rewards do not have expiration or limit.

The fourth Visa Platinum credit card offers redeemable reward options for merchandise, gift cards and airline tickets, among others.
