Chinese electronics company Xiaomi has formed an alliance with prepaid card solution provider Qwikcilver to roll out a gift card programme on its e-commerce store, mi.com, and the Mi Store App in India.
Available in different versions and for separate occasions, the gift cards can be bought using debit or credit cards, EMI and UPI. Customers will get the card through an e-mail and can instantly add them to their Mi account.
The new programme covers various Xiaomi products such as smartphones, accessories, televisions and smart devices.
Xiaomi India head of online sales and category Raghu Reddy said: “Digital gifting is gaining momentum in India and our association with category leaders like Qwikcilver will empower Mi fans to spread the Xiaomi cheer among their loved ones and enjoy a hassle free, digital gifting experience.”
The cards comes with a minimum purchase value of INR100 ($1.53) and maximum of INR10, 000 ($153.84).
However, the company will deliver a maximum of 10 gift cards in one order.
