Yandex.Checkout has announced that the platform will accept payments with cards issued by overseas payment providers, including American Еxpress (AmEx), JCB, and Diners Club.
Yandex.Money CCO Alexander Magomedov said: “It is important to provide online stores and service providers with a variety of opportunities to sell goods and services to the widest possible audience of buyers, including non-resident ones.
“Now Yandex.Checkout enables its merchants to accept online payments with cards issued by American Express, Diners Club, and JCB. It facilitates the expansion of their business abroad and increases potential audience.”
From now, any merchant who teams up with the company can provide an easy and convenient payment option to AmEX, JCB, and Diners Club clients.
All the transactions done through Yandex.Checkout are commission free for the cardholders.
A Yandex.Checkout’s partner will have to sign a supplementary agreement to start accepting payments from these cards. Yandex.Checkout developed the new payment option in partnership with Russia-based Standard Bank.
