YOOZOO Games, which focuses on game development and distribution, has tapped French payments firm Ingenico Group for digital payments.
The service will be offered through Ingenico ePayments, Ingenico’s e-commerce arm.
YOOZOO believes that the partnership will facilitate its global expansion plans.
YOOZOO Games vice president of overseas publishing Liu Wanqin said: “With game releases planned for Europe and North America in the near future, we expect to attract gamers from all over the world.
“As we expand internationally, we have to make online payments seamless and safe both across different regions and across different devices.”
Ingenico Connect, a mobile-first platform supporting multi-device payments, will enable YOOZOO to target more gamers, the gaming firm noted.
Commenting on the partnership, Ingenico ePayments general manager for Asia Pacific Nathan Salisbury said: “Ingenico ePayments has been at the forefront of global massively multiplayer online (MMO) gaming payments for more than 15 years.
“Since gaming payments are low in transaction value but high in frequency and fraud risk, our expertise in payments conversion & optimisation will benefit YOOZOO Games immensely.”
Last week, Ingenico signed a partnership to support digital payments on retailer IKEA’s e-commerce platform in India.
Ingenico was recently also chosen by Radial, a bpost group company and commerce technologies provider.
