Polish fintech firm ZenCard and three other companies will roll out their technologies on the Finnish market after winning the OP Smart Commerce Programme organised by OP Financial Group.
The programme was conducted in October this year in OP Financial Group’s headquarters in Helsinki for companies offering innovative platforms. The aim of the contest was to select a tool with ‘fast implementation possibilities’ that increases benefits offered by banks, both for businesses and customers.
ZenCard, which is part of PKO Bank Polski Group, will be preparing the first version of the product for the Finnish market in the next three months. The platform will be deployed in the first quarter of 2018.
In the beginning, the technology will be offered to small and medium merchants by integration with cash register systems from PIVO Kassa offered by OP. However in the next phase the companies intend to target large chain stores across Finland.
