Nigerian lender Zenith Bank has launched a new Visa-enabled fuel card, dubbed Shell Ezypass card, in Ghana.
The new offering, launched in association with the Shell licensee Vivo Energy Ghana and Visa International, can be used to purchase fuel, lubricants or items at Shell shops.
Cardholders can use their fuel card at any POS terminals accepting Visa.
Zenith Bank acting managing director Henry Oroh said: "This new card also underscores our bank’s vision to be the reference point for the provision of prompt, flawless and innovative banking products and services in the Ghanaian banking industry."
Vivo Energy Ghana managing director Ebenezer Faulkner said that the new offering will not replace current Shell card, and is for private and commercial motorists to make payment at Shell service stations.
