The partnership will see Zwipe offering the Zwipe Pay ONE technology platform and guidance to EMV certified smart card manufacturer and personalisation bureau Silkcard.
The aim is to enable Silkcard to manufacture as well as personalise biometric card payments for issuer clients.
Silkcard offers various cards to banking and retail customers in Bangladesh and overseas.
On a yearly basis, the firm delivers more than 12 million payment cards.
Zwipe CEO André Løvestam has welcomed the alliance, saying that Bangladesh represents significant growth potential from security, financial inclusion and innovation aspects with an economy growing over 7% annually and a population of over 166 million.
