Shift4, a payment gateway provider, and InnQuest Software, a developer of property management software, have launched their joint EMV-certified solution for hotel and lodging industry.
Using Shift4’s independent payment gateway solution ‘Dollars on the net’ and InnQuest’s roomMaster solution, hotel operators can process EMV payments while adding the layered security of point-to-point encryption (P2PE) and tokenisation.
Keeping sensitive cardholder data out of the hotelier’s payment processing environment, the technology protects their guests’ payment data from hackers.
Additionally, Shift4 currently supports a number of EMV-capable terminals by Ingenico Group and Verifone, with options for USB, serial, ethernet, bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. This enables hoteliers to easily implement EMV across their property using the devices of their choice.
Furthermore, Shift4 is currently certified for EMV with eight major processors in the US and Canada that offers better coverage of acquirers in North America and the Caribbean. This allows hotel operators to adopt EMV without shifting their financial relationships. It also enables them to negotiate the best payment processing rates or make a switch if required.
InnQuest Software president Michael Assi said: “Since 1994, InnQuest Software has been providing hotel operators with the service, expertise and technology that allows them to run their business more efficiently and more profitably.
