Commerce Links, which was launched by Linktree in March this year, is a suite of new tools that enables its users to take payments directly on their Linktree.

The partnership with PayPal will enable frictionless transactions for creators in over 200 countries where PayPal operates.

Commenting on the development, Linktree co-founder and CEO Alex Zaccaria said: “As the creator economy grows, creators want new ways to collect payments and support from their audience with as little friction as possible.

“We are excited to be collaborating with PayPal to further expand our solutions to our users globally and enable them to further manage and monetise their digital presence.”

Linktree customers will now be able to connect their PayPal account and get paid easily by their visitors directly on their Linktree either via PayPal, a debit card, or credit card.

In addition, Linktree will get access to their transactions data, payment conversion rate, and other relevant data that will help them manage their digital presence.

Founded in 2016 by Alex and Anthony Zaccaria and Nick Humphreys, the platform claims to have 16 million users globally.

Recently, PayPal introduced a new service in the UK that will enable British customers to buy, hold and sell cryptocurrencies.

The service, scheduled to start rolling out from this week, marks the first international expansion of PayPal’s cryptocurrencies services outside the US.
