US-based integrated communications company Weave has launched a new payments platform for SMBs.

The first feature in the new platform is Text to Pay.

With the new feature, users can send a payment request via SMS.

The amount can be paid by credit card.

During the trial phase, which started in March last year, 70% of Text to Pay requests were paid within a single day as compared to the average industry payment time of 30 days.

The feature, now rolled out publicly, is said to lower revenue cycle operation cost and time.

Besides, the features is both HIPAA- as well as PCI-compliant.

It is served on webpages that have TLS certification.

Weave VP of product Johny Wudel said: “Collection of payments is tough no matter what business you’re in, and we have spent the last year understanding this pain point.

“Customers want easy ways to pay at a time convenient for them, and that is exactly what Weave payments delivers. It’s an easier and cleaner process that is integrated with the communication tools within Weave.”

Weave, formerly known as Recall Solutions, currently has a staff headcount of over 375.

The firm was set up by Brandon Rodman, Jared Rodman and Clint Berry.
